Freeholders to distribute fans to county seniors Gloucester County Times The county will be distributing fans to help senior citizen residents keep cool this summer. The distribution, sponsored by the Gloucester County Freeholders, will be held June 23 at two locations. The Office of Senior Services has distributed more than 1,850 fans to senior citizens over the past several years in an effort to keep them safe from the heat. This year's distribution will take place June 23 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Franklin Township Community Center located at 1584 Coles Mill Road in Franklin Township and at Gloucester County Senior Services Offices at Budd Boulevard located at 115 Budd Blvd. in West Deptford from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Due to the limited amount of fans and under the guidelines set forth by the Older Americans Act, priority will be given to seniors 60 and above with low income or possessing a PAAD (Pharmaceutical Assistance to the Aged and Disabled) or Medicaid card. Seniors who need more information can call the Division of Senior Services at (856) 384-6900. |
