Jan Walter will be here to serve the resident s of Elk Twp., not to be served. Being mindful that this community belongs to the residence in which they entrusted me to work for them. With that said, I will work hard for transparent government. I will make myself available to listen to their concerns, and work hard to keep Elk Twp. a leading community.
Grants
Jan Walter believes that grants can reduce some of our tax burdens. There are grants given for many areas in communities, such as police departments, environmental, parks, road, ect.
Jan Walter will work hard to research the many grants that are offered, and make sure they are filed to bring those monies to our community to reduce taxes.
Schools
Jan Walter knows as a real estate agent how important schools are to a community. It is not only important to have good schools for our children, but it is the most important thing buyers look for when searching for a community. Great schools make a great community, and people will want to live here. Jan Walter will work closely with the school board to make our school system one of the best.
Shared Services
Jan Walter believes there are a lot of areas in our community we can put this to use and save tax dollars. Sharing services with other communities reduce the tax burden. Â Jan Walter will work hard to find areas that we can reduce the tax burdens by sharing services with other communities.
Business
Jan Walter knows that clean tax ratable is important for a community, but at the same time to keep the rural environment that she loves so much. Jan Walter will work hard to make sure the rural composition is not violate, at the time be open to clean ratable, to help our communities tax structure.
Budget
Jan Walter believes that her background in banking and real estate will be a great benefit to the committee. As a real estate agent I know communities, I know what makes them an area where people want to live and what makes them areas people stay away from. As a real estate agent, I deal with zoning, planning, building, and all other areas pertaining to a community every day. My years in banking I bring experience in know how to balance a budget. I would love to bring my experience to the committee to help our community.
